It was another exciting week for the Subaru/SPT/ESX Team!
The Street Class Subaru STi driven by our rookie sensation Julie Stepan stood tall in the winners circle once again!

This past weekend in Englishtown, NJ., Julie put down a blistering 9.48 second 1/4 mile in her Subaru at the last East Coast NHRA race of the year. Round by round she advanced and ended up in the finals. There she raced against another 9 second car that got the win light against Julie at a past NHRA race. However, this time Julie came out on top winning her 3rd straight NHRA Wally! Congratulations to Julie and the rest of the ESX Team for all their hard work!! The great weather encouraged the thousands of fans to come out to the races. Julie was swamped by hundreds of fans waiting in line for her autograph and their free Subaru/SPT/ESX hats!

And on the West Coast, ESX Co-Founder Christine Moore and I attended the Macy's Passport 2005, HIV/Aids fundraiser/charity fashion show Thursday night, Sept. 28th in Santa Monica, CA. Complete with press and the dazzling red carpet, Christine and I proudly spoke about our Subaru Program to all the photo taking media. Subaru's Western Region had a variety of Subaru's on display at the end of the red carpet and auctioned off a 2 year B9 Tribeca lease. Sharon Stone hosted the event and the auction while fashion from Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Klein, Movado, Armani and Hot Wheels children's wear was strutted all over the runway. Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities present helped raise thousands of dollars.

We were very proud to be part of such a great event and help raise money for the charity, especially since Subaru was also supporting this event.

Make sure to check out our very own Christine Moore in her new Television show "Hot Properties" airing this Friday, Oct. 7th @ 9:30PM Pacific on ABC. Christine plays "Emerson Ives", a "Rich virgin who hasn't worked a day in her life" along side a tremendously funny cast of women! Also, the Car & Driver Magazine "Superfour Cylinder Shootout" Challenge airs this Oct. 8th @ 12:30 PM and 9th @ 11:30 AM on the Spike Channel. The Subaru/SPT/ESX Team competed with our 2005 Subaru Sti Signature Series Prototype. It was our first time at an event like this and we look forward to competing in it again next year. The issue of Car & Driver that features our Subaru and this Challenge hits news stands this week as well.

Lastly, if you are in the Southern California area this week, make sure to stop by the Anaheim Auto Show at the Anaheim Convention Center. On display are all the New 2006 Subaru models along side the Subaru/SPT/ESX "Worlds Quickest Subaru" and the awesome Subaru Rally Car!
