 Paul Efantis Enters 4th
Final in 5 Races!
West Palm Beach , FL In a
serious chase for the NHRA Sony Xplod Championship, 2004 Modified Champion, Paul Efantis
has made it to another final round. After many ran delayed moments over the course
of the weekend at Moroso Motorsports Park , Paul will face Jorge Lazcano in the final.
It is to be completed during qualifying on September 30 at Raceway Park in
Englishtown , New Jersey .
This final will be exciting as Efantis and Lazcano has
proven themselves worthy rivals. They are both poised to set national records during
this run of eliminations. If Paul can back up his blistering 7.37 ET at 182.92 mph
he will take home the honors and the extra points from the event. If not, Lazcano
will leave with the record at 7.44 ET. The last time these two faced each other was
in Las Vegas , NV where Efantis came out the winner.
Paul and Motorsport Performance are determined to take
back their championship in 2006. The team is in prime position in points even with
fewer events attended than their closest competition.
This is some of the best racing in the country.
The class is full and the cars are all very competitive. The last pass was a
definite, give it all you got. We had a little scary moment at the end of the pass
when I pulled the chutes; the whole assembly actually came right off the car and ended up
in the shut down area. Weve got that fixed and cant wait until New
Jersey . My whole crew did an exceptional job of getting The Little Dooey Barbeque
and Blues Solara down the track. Rodney, Krys, Jamie and Crocker worked hard in this
humidity and rain to make sure we got to the line every time. When we continue this
event, a win and the national record is something we are definitely looking to do,
explained Paul Efantis.
